Summer FUN
Posted onHere we are, already the 6th of July. Riders rode Jumpers at the JGS show at Amelia on June 18 and Hunter/Equitation riders competed at 4Oaks in Palmyra. Lovely shows..
Two weeks of camp are behind us, 3 more to go…. We still have room in both our July 25 – 29 camp and our August 8 – 12. Believe it or not, Amelia schools go back August 15.
Mike and my 3 new horses added to the cranberry acres line up – Tabasco, Eagala and Sassy are working into our program real well.
We hope to finish out the Kellys Ford series -August,September and October and will plan on a few 4 oaks shows as well. Keep an eye on sign up on the bulletin board in the lounge

May 8 -Mothers day – yes lessons till 3:30. Reschedule if your lesson time is after that.

Posted onWe had a blustery time at our school show on April 9, but the challenge of keeping the jumps upright could not keep us down!! The show went forward and was alot of fun. SPRING
Posted onSo – What I want to know is how did it get to be the end of March…. Start of April so quickly?
We have a ton of Fun horse and rider activities planned for April and May and before you know it – it will be summer camp time.
Check out our calender page for April and May events, our horse show page for information on the April 9th show and our Summer camp page for Camp info. I’ll be glad to send you the necessary information to sign up for any of the above or you can sign up in the lounge – waiting room at the barn.
Spring!! Oh yea – it’s February…..
Posted on4 and a half weeks till Spring and it can’t come soon enough for all us riders…..
We have no scheduled events for the rest of February – except the work get together at 5 forks to fix the bridges on Saturday Feb 20th. Come help if you can – information was provided by Camille Deckert on our facebook page. – check it out.
March will begin with Hazelwild on March 5th – it is the last of the series, so it will be the seasons end Champion and Reserve presentation. We wish our riders the best of luck!! Many are high in the points and could bring home the award. I’ll post the results as we know….
March ends with Easter weekend, we will be closed Saturday the 26 and Sunday the 27. Monday starts spring break for many. We will be on a regular schedule getting ready for Calais on April 2nd. April 9th will be our first spring school show. April 16th is Kelly’s Ford, April 30th is Kelly’s Ford. May 7th will be CA’s last of the 2015-2016 school show series show. May 28th Kelly’s Ford. May 30th – Memorial Day!! Then it’s time for Summer Camp – YEAH!
January 22 – SNOW DAY
Posted onNo classes today at Cranberry Acres. Stay safe off the roads. Lessons will open as usual on Sunday Morning. We are on the main roads that get cleared and Mr Mike will plow our driveway. Just let us know if you’re snowed in and can’t make it. Thanks

Posted onThese are the results from the season end points from all the shows at Kellys Ford Equestrian Center. They will host an award dinner on Friday night December 11. We will have competition on Saturday morning at the Hazelwild Center. I think we should be prudent and miss the dinner this year and ask them to mail our awards…… I’m open to other suggestions, Mrs. Sue

This is the list they sent me today – If you do not think your points are correct please let me know and we’ll figure it out. I did keep track at each show and can compile a list. They are still holding the banquet. Anyone wishing to go will have to call them directly to register to go. I feel bad to not attend, on the other hand we will not be well rested for our day of competition…..
November and December

We have alot of fun scheduled for November and December..1st – On November 21 – the Level Green riding school in Powhatan will host an open event for all riders interested in Dressage, Stadium and Cross Country competition. Riders can speak to Mrs Sue about renting a horse and competing. Anyone interested in watching – visit the level green web site to get directions.
December 5th will be the Christmas Parade in Amelia. All Students of the Cranberry Acres are invited to participate in both the preparation and the Parade itself. The parade will be at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon. Our Prep Meeting will Be Wednesday evening December 2nd at 6ish – Cranberry Acres will provide the PIZZA and Soda.
December 11th is the Scheduled Date for the Kellys Ford Banquet – more info as we get it.
December 12 – the FIRST Hazelwild Jumper competition – Saturday – cost and details will be posted both in the lounge and on a page on this site.
December 27 – SUNDAY HAZELWILD JUMPER COMPETITION – WE’LL HAVE A GET TOGETHER TO DISCUSS THIS AND OUR ATTENDENCE.
