This Wednesday we will get together here at Cranberry Acres in order to Put together a float for the Amelia Christmas Parade which will be on Saturday December 1 at 4 pm. All Cranberry Acres Riders and their families are invited to participate in the fun event announcing the beginning of the Christmas season. The float preparation will begin at 6:30 at the Cranberry Acres. Mrs Sandy has requested participants to bring scissors, staple guns, wrapping paper, tape, White trash bags, Stuffed horses that will be returned to you, so please put your name on them. The Parade kicks off at 4 and our float will be judged in the village square. We will reassemble the float starting at 2:30 – we are usually assigned to be near the Amelia Country club.. This Thursday it will be posted in the Amelia Monitor. Mrs Sandy is the go to for more details of what you can bring to help. Mostly bring your holiday cheer
The postponed school show from October 27 will run today, November 3. Western classes will be held from 9-1. Huntseat from 1-6. Looks like a beautiful day.
Due to the rain our facility will be too wet to hold an outdoor show tomorrow so we will move to our postponement date of November 3
Monday October 15: Hurricane Michael tore up our county quite a bit last Thursday. We have just gotten our power back and can offer not only our daylight student classes but also our regular evening classes under the lights. Come join the fun.
We will hold our 2nd show in our 2018 – 2019 series on October 27th – with a rain/makeup date of November 3rd. This show will have a costume class for those who would like to dress up their horse and match your costumes.
The weather is fabulous at our competition today. Sept 8. Riders are competing at Four Oaks Hunter show in Palmyra, VA. Check out our Facebook page for updates on their awards. The next competition is Sept 15 at Warrenton VA. For jumpers. September 29 will be the first schooling show for the 2018-2019 series. Details for the school show are listed on this site
Due to the rain, the May 19 school show will be postponed to June 2nd. I will hold all entries, please let me know if you have pre entered and will be unable to attend. Entry forms and information are in the lounge. Also, information is here on cranberry acres website.
